Mrim Boutla
Dr. Mrim Boutla is the author of "Agile Passions: Musings From a Neuroscientist on Aligning Your Passions with Your Paycheck." Via her coaching practice, Cognaction LLC, Dr. Boutla also coaches corporate and individual clients as they identify and make progress towards their goals. A cognitive neuroscientist turned social entrepreneur, Dr. Boutla has taught cognitive neuroscience courses at the University of Rochester, as well as professional development and career development workshops and courses at the Georgetown School of Foreign Service, Brown University, Indiana University (Kelley School of Business and College of Arts & Sciences). Over the past decade, Dr. Boutla has been leading the formulation of ed tech solutions to maximize educational and career outcomes for higher education leaders, including at the U.S. Naval Community College, and at Quad Learning. In 2013, Dr. Boutla received the Ashoka U/Cordes Prize for Social Innovation in Higher Education for More Than Money Careers, a certified Benefit Ed Tech company that helped over 5,000 innovators explore internships and jobs that blend financial rewards with social impact and environmental sustainability. A first generation college graduate, Dr. Boutla paid her way through college, graduating debt free with her Bsc in Psychology from the Universite Catholique de Louvain, her MA and PhD in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Rochester, and her Executive Certificate in Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Management from Georgetown University.
