William Fargason (MFA '14) Wins 2019 Iowa Poetry Prize

William Fargason's Love Song to the Demon-Possessed Pigs of Gadara has been awarded the 2019 Iowa Poetry Prize.

Fargason graduated from the University of Maryland with an MFA in Poetry in 2014. He currently teaches creative writing at Florida State University. Fargason's Love Song to the Demon-Possessed Pigs of Gadara will be published by the University of Iowa Press in April of 2020. The Iowa Poetry Prize is awarded annually to a book-length collection of poems and is open to both new and established poets.
