English Department Coronavirus Update

To prioritize the health and safety of our community, the University of Maryland moves to an online environment March 30 through the end of the semester.
The University of Maryland is actively monitoring the outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a new coronavirus (termed “COVID-19”).
The University Health Center (UHC) is in regular communication with county and state health officials and is sharing additional information as it becomes available.

University Community Guidance
- Practice prevention behaviors and hold each other accountable in following safe and healthy practices. Wash your hands often with soap and water. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Stay home if you’re sick.
- The University continues to do enhanced cleaning, especially around high traffic areas bathrooms, meeting rooms, elevators, and dining locations.
