2026 Jiménez-Porter Writers' House LitFest

Each spring, the Jimenez-Porter Writers' House Living-Learning Program gathers for LitFest to celebrate the graduating class of Writers’ House students, the winners of its annual Jiménez-Porter Literary Prize, and the winners of the annual Sebastian Herbstein Memorial Scholarship in Fiction Writing. 

Join Writers' House in Ulrich Recital Hall of Tawes Hall for this special event to honor the prizewinners and hear excerpts from their winning works between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026. Students graduating from Writers' House will also be honored in an informal graduation ceremony. Following the event, the Writers' House community will host a celebration with food on the Tawes Rooftop Gardens from 6 - 8pm.
