2022 Common Threads Conference
2022 Common Threads Conference
This year’s theme is “(Re)Connect: Common Threads, New Directions.” As the university continues to navigate the challenges presented (or exacerbated) by the ongoing pandemic, we propose taking time to (re)connect with our disciplines and each other in new ways. We believe (re)connecting enables us to work toward a more collaborative and inclusive humanities education that foregrounds shared inquiries, collective action, and networks of care.
Eligibility: Current graduate students at the University of Maryland (enrolled through Fall 2022) at all stages of their career are invited to apply.
Conference Date: Friday, September 30th, 2022, 10am-6pm. Location: Tawes Hall on the University of Maryland campus. The conference will primarily be in-person, although virtual attendance through Zoom will be available. There may also be limited opportunities for virtual panels; consult the submission form linked below for more information.
