Leela Chantrelle

Leela Chantrelle(she/her)  is a doctoral student, hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her BA from Cornell University and since has been teaching high school English with a focus on Black literature.

She is invested in studying contemporary Black literature, in particular, narratives of Black love. Through this work she thinks about survival in an anti-Black world. In her spare time she enjoys taking her dogs on walks, watching copious amounts of television and finding a body of water to swim in.
