Eric Julian Baker

Eric Baker is a graduate of the University of Maryland's MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) and lives near Washington D.C., where he teaches at his alma mater. His work explores the intersection of his Korean and Jewish heritage, as well as legacies of armed conflict, and topics related to chronic illness. Previously named a finalist for the Alice James Book Award, a finalist for both the Helena Whitehill Award and the Berkshire Prize from Tupelo Press, as well as a shortlister for the Disquiet Literary Prize and longlister for the Desperate Literature Prize, his writing has been published by Gulf Coast, West Trade Review, Tupelo Quarterly, Washington Writers’ Publishing House and other venues.
