Declan Langton
Education
B.A., English, Journalism, and French, Mount Holyoke College
Declan Langton is a Ph.D. student hailing from New England. Their research and writing analyze 18th, 19th, and early 20th-century American literature through a queer and gender-expansive lens. Particularly, they aim to break apart (and highlight the already disrupted) binaries in American literature.
In 2024, their paper ββCan We Move The Frame?β: The Archives of Framing Agnesβ won the Kinnaird Essay Prize for English doctoral students.
Outside of their work at the university, Declan is a fiction writer who enjoys swimming, hiking, and listening to music.
