This year the University of Maryland Charity Campaign is asking for your support and generosity for the charities listed below, or you can donate to a charity of your choice by going to the MCC website http://mcc.maryland.gov/.  Your help is enormously needed for those who are less fortunate, please donate what you can.  Through the University of Maryland Charity Campaign MCC your participation would provide the opportunity to reach out to so many in need with your donations.  A pre printed pledge form was placed in your mail box, if you didn't receive one, please look for a pledge form on  go.umd.edu/mcc.  Your donations will be greatly appreciate.

It is that time of the year when we all have the opportunity to help out thousands of fellow citizens, animals and the environment in the state of Maryland who are going through tough times.  Your contributions will help them with living conditions, with their mental , physical and environmental state. This year, the Faculty/Staff Campaign is focusing on four essential Maryland charities that help feed families, protect children, promote animal welfare and save the bay where terrapins roam:

    *    Maryland Food Bank - EIN 52-1135690

    *    CASA/Prince George's County -  EIN 52-1772617

    *    SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County - EIN 52-1047460

    *    Chesapeake Bay Foundation - EIN 52-6065757

You can participate in the UMD Faculty/Staff Community Campaign now through Monday, November 28, 2016, via payroll deduction or credit card on MCC Website:  http://mcc.maryland.gov/.  This website is ready for you to create an account to make donations.  Your University ID is the code to use to create an account.  Pre-printed donation forms are on their way by campus mail to the English Department, we should receive them by Wednesday or Thursday, October 19th or 20th, please look for your form in your mail box by Friday.  You can also donate by completing a pledge form, available at go.umd.edu/mcc. This website will also give you more details on the charities listed above.  Please return this form to my attention in the MEO 2119 Tawes Hall for submission.
