Next Thursday, April 19, the Library of Congress is presenting “Staying Human: Poetry in the Age of Technology,” a celebration concluding the first term of 22nd U.S. Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith.

Tracy K. Smith will join Ron Charles, editor of Washington Post’s Book World, in a discussion about her first-term rural outreach efforts and focus for her newly announced second term.

The event is free and open to the public. I’ve attached the event flyer, which we hope you will distribute to MFA and Creative Writing students who may be interested in attending. Free tickets are available here.
