Nominations for 2011-2012 Intro Journals Project

Tim DeMay, Daniel Knowlton, Erik Kozlik, Emily Lyons, and Caroline Randall are nominated.

The MFA Program in Creative Writinghas announced the nominees for the 2011-2012 Intro Journals Project, a literary competition for the discovery and publication of new work by students currently enrolled in creative writing programs around the country.

Nominees in poetry:
Timothy DeMay for “Confessions of Reading Robinson Jeffers During a Storm”
Eric Kozlik for “After Trapping"
Caroline Randall for “Crude Genetics”

Nominee in fiction: Emily Lyons for “Elijah”

Nominee in nonfiction: Daniel Knowlton for “Shit (excerpts from a memoir-in-progress)”

Congratulations to the five nominees, whose work will now be sent on for final judging in the national competition. Winners will be notified in late spring 2012 and will receive publication in a participating literary journal and a $100 cash honorarium.
