Marilee Lindemann Delivers the Woodress Lecture

On September 20, Marilee Lindemann delivered the second annual Woodress Lecture at the University of Nebraska Lincoln's Center for Great Plains Studies. The lecture is named for Cather biographer James Woodress. Lindemann's lecture, "Willa Cather and the Lavender Scare," examined early biographies and memoirs of Cather in the context of Cold War persecutions of gays and lesbians.
