Mal Haselberger Accomplishments

Mal Haselberger presented a conference paper at the 50th Anniversary Meeting of the American Society for Eighteenth Century Studies, “‘Cur[ing] disappointment in love’: Emotional Consumption in Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility," in March 2019. 

At the beginning of 2019, Mal was awarded an Outstanding Graduate Assistant Award for academic year 2018-2019 from the University of Maryland Graduate School for her work in the department's BookLab. She was also awarded a 2019 Michael P. Denker Fellowship from the American Printing History Association's Chesapeake Chapter. The fellowship provides Mal one-year membership to the Association and the opportunity to participate in activities, exhibitions, and lectures sponsored by the Chesapeake Chapter. As part of her fellowship, Mal will also present her research at the Library of Congress during the Denker Fellows symposium in November 2019.
