Lyra Hilliard recently published an article (co-authored with Mary K. Stewart) in The Internet and Higher Education.

The article, "Time Well Spent: Creating a Community of Inquiry in Blended First-Year Writing Courses," examines the extent to which blended first-year writing courses can function as communities of inquiry. Results of her study suggest a positive correlation between online time on task and interactive learning activities that promote student collaboration.
