Howard Norman recently spoke at the Philip Roth 80th birthday lecture series at the Library of Congress. Howard's memoir, I Hate To Leave This Beautiful Place, was just published in paperback, and in Japanese and Dutch editions. His new novel, Next Life Might Be Kinder, is published on May 13; he reads from it at Politics & Prose Bookstore at 6 pm on May 31. Saturday April 26 Howard is in conversation at Politics & Prose, with Ron Suskind, whose memoir Life, Animated about his autistic son Owen, was published earlier this month.
