Great News for Orrin Wang!

Orrin's books wins a major prize from the International Conference on Romanticism!

Orrin Wang's recent book Romantic Sobriety: Sensation, Revolution, Commodification, History (Johns Hopkins UP, 2011) has won the 2011 Jean-Pierre Barricelli Prize for the year's best book in Romanticism.  The award is given by the International Conference on Romanticism “for the purpose of recognizing exceptional, even ground breaking work in the discipline,” according to ICR’s website.  The winner is chosen by a panel of international experts, and Orrin is the first winner from our department.  To see a list of previous winners and to learn about ICR, visit their website.
