Gerard Passannante Awarded Guggenheim Fellowship

ACLS Fellow Professor Gerard Passannante has also been named a Fellow of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation for his project "God is in the Detail: Cosmic Order and the Sense of Scale."  

Guggenheim Fellowships are awarded to those individuals who have already demonstrated exceptional capacity for productive scholarship or exceptional creative ability in the arts. The Foundation receives approximately 3,000 applications each year. This year the foundation awarded 168 Fellowships.  Edward Hirsch, president of the Foundation, is especially enthusiastic about the Fellows in the class of  2019: “It’s exceptionally satisfying to name 168 new Guggenheim Fellows. These artists and writers, scholars and scientists, represent the best of the best.
