English Major Raishay Lin Wins University Medal

April 30, 2013 English | Center for Literary and Comparative Studies

For the second year in a row, an English major is the recipient of the University Medal.

At spring commencement, Raishay Lin will be awarded the prize, which is given to the most outstanding graduate of each academic year. The University Medal is awarded to the undergraduate who best personifies academic distinction, extraordinary character, and extracurricular contributions to the University and the larger public. The award, consisting of a gold medal and a $1,000 cash prize, is the highest honor the University can bestow on a graduate. Raishay, a senior Honors English major, was also named the ARHU Dean’s Senior Scholars Award winner this past fall.
