The main English department office just completed the 22nd Annual Teddy Bear Drive sponsored by the friends of the Bonnie Johns Children’s Fund.

Last year, the University collected over 1,500 bears and over the course of the 22 years, 44,500 bears were donated from the University. The English department collected 35 bears and/or stuffed new animals this year. The donations are given to non-profit organizations for distribution to children in need and in crisis. They were picked up Friday, Dec. 13 by a University staff member who coordinates the drive for the University every year. There are four coordinators in UM and Isabella Moulton of the main English department office is one of them.

Thank you to all the participants!
