Brian Richardson’s 2015 book, Unnatural Narrative: Theory, History, and Practice, was re-issued in paperback. He published an article on “Unnatural Narrative Theory” and responded to several commentators on the subject in the latest issue of Style.

He also published “The Difference of Fiction,” in Life and Narrative: The Risks and Responsibilities of Storying Experience, eds. Brian Schiff and A. Elizabeth McKim (Oxford UP).He spoke on “Unnatural Endings in Fiction and Film” at the International Narrative Conference in Lexington KY in March and is giving an invited lecture on “Fiction, Nonfiction, and Historical Drama” at the University of Freiburg in May.He gave a block seminar for graduate students and faculty on Narrative Dynamics at the University of Lisbon in early March.This semester he is a Fellow at the Freiburg Institute of Advanced Study.
