Brian Richardson read at the MLA's convention in Seattle and the International Narrative Conference in New Orleans.

Brian Richardson read “Haptic Conrad: The Poetics and Erotics of Touch in Conrad’s Later Work” at MLA's convention in Seattle and “Unnatural Characters and the Trajectory of Narrative Theory” at the International Narrative Conference in New Orleans. He will also be a respondent on a panel on “we” narration. An interview in French, “La passion du non-naturel: Entretien avec Brian Richardson,” was published in Pratiques 181-182, 2019. His anthology, Unnatural Narratology: Revisions, Extensions, and Challenges, co-edited by Jan Alber, was published. It includes his essay, “Transcending Humanistic and Cognitive Models: Unnatural Characters in Fiction, Drama, and Popular Culture.” Futher information is avaialble here.
