Digital Studies Colloquium

It is required for students pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Digital Studies but is open to all students, faculty and staff.

For this session will be reading the first three chapters of Mark C. Marino's Critical Code Studies  published this year by MIT Press and winner of the 2020 N. Katherine Hayles Award for Criticism from the Electronic Literature Organization.

Dr. Marino will be joining the discussion. He is Professor of Writing at the University of Southern California, where he directs the Humanities and Critical Code Studies Lab.

You can find the first chapter and other material on the Critical Code Studies website. The other two chapters are available from Matthew Kirschenbaum as PDFs by request.
