Roberta Ward
I have been teaching legal writing at University of Maryland since 2019 and have taught the class for four semesters. I have a J.D. from University of Maryland Law School, an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from Washington College of Law, American University, and Masters of Arts Degrees in Spanish and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from California State University at Sacramento. Since 2013 I have been teaching legal skills courses and English for Legal Professionals to international law students and lawyers at the University of California at Davis Law School. I have taught ESL in community colleges and freshman composition at California State University at Sacramento. I am a retired Administrative Law Judge with the State of California and have spent my legal career as an attorney with government agencies including the Maryland Attorney General's Office. I am a member of the Maryland, Virginia and California bars and currently provide pro bono legal services in immigration clinics.
