Patrick (PC) Fleming

Patrick "PC" Fleming joined UMD as a lecturer in the fall of 2025, after five years as a program officer with the National Endowment for the Humanities. He previously directed the university honors program at Fisk University, where he earned tenure in the English department. His publications include Animating the Victorians: Disney's Literary History (2025, with an audiobook version forthcoming), British Children's Literature of the Nineteenth-Century: a Companion (also 2025), The Legacy of the Moral Tale: Children's Literature and the English Novel, 1744-1859 (2016), and articles in Teaching Victorian Literature in the 21st Century, Victorian Periodicals Review, Pedagogy, and the Children’s Literature Association Quarterly.
