First Semi-Annual Blended Learning Faculty Retreat Day Held

The first semi-annual Blended Learning Faculty Retreat Day was held on January 15th. The retreat was attended by AWP and PWP instructors who currently teach or plan to teach blended sections of their courses.

Sessions on Blended Learning theory and best practices, learning outcome assessments, Undergraduate Teaching Assistants, and popular educational technology tools were led by Blended Learning Coordinators Lyra Hilliard and Scott Moses and Assistant Director of Instructional Technology Lauren Freidman.

The retreat marked the two-year anniversary of Blended Learning in the Academic Writing and Professional Writing Programs, an initiative that has strengthened significantly since its launch. Both programs plan to add more blended sections in Fall 2014.
