It is required for students pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Critical Theory but is open to all students, faculty and staff.

On Friday, March 12 from 3-5PM, the ARHU Theory Colloquium continues its year-long conversation about Queer/Black/Crip Temporalities with a discussion of two texts:

The intro and first chapter to Alison Kafer's Feminist, Queer, Crip (Indiana UP, 2013); & La Marr Jurelle Bruce's "Interludes in Madtime: Black Music, Madness, and Metaphysical Syncopation" (forthcoming book chapter).

Professor Bruce (AMST) will be joining us that day at 4PM for a discussion of his piece.

The Kafer is available electronically through McKeldin Library. If you’re not registered as a participant of the Theory Colloquium but would like to participate in this session, please contact Orrin Wang (owang@umd.edu) who will send you the book version of "Interludes in Madtime" as well as a Zoom invite for the session.
