Resisting Post-Truth Culture Through Pedagogical Interventions

Dr. Ellen Carillo will discuss how writing instructors can push back against post-truth rhetoric by preparing students to engage in ethical and empathetic ways with the texts they encounter. She will introduce pedagogical interventions designed to help students become better readers and, in turn, better equipped to represent and respond fairly and responsibly to texts in their writing.
