An English literature M.A. student, MacKenzie L. Guthrie explores the role of place in the formation of identity as well as the personification of place in postcolonial narratives, with a focus on practical applications in social and environmental activism. She graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio with a B.A. in English literature and Spanish and a certificate in TESOL. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, hiking, and gardening.
