Roy Williams wrote the influential "In Yer Face" movement play, Sing Yer Heart Out for the Lads (2002), about racism in English football.  His play Sucker Punch (2009) is having its American Premier at D.C.'s Studio Theatre on Feb. 29. 

His first play was The No Boys Cricket Club (1996), which appeared at the famous Stratford East theatre in East London. He has also written for London's Royal Court (Fallout, 2003, the TV adaptation of which was nominated for six Screen Nation awards); the National Theatre (Sing Yer Heart Out for the Lads); and the RSC (Days of Significance, 2007).
